Going through the SI hashtag on Twitter, a big chunk of the chatter seems generated by AoS stans clowning waiting for Miss Richter Scale to show up

Unsolicited presumptuous opinion: it's not happening, and it's better that way, but the love is really nice to see

I haven’t watched the episodes yet (was waiting to finish exams) but if she doesn’t appear I get the feeling the disappointment by all those fans is gonna ruin the show (or at least ruin the fandom experience online) because it’s gotten to an insane degree. like for me, if she does appear (and if they do her right) I would genuinely be so happy and excited, but I’ve been looking forward to this show for a long time for a variety of other reasons outside of daisy.

It honestly feels like ppl are just watching for her possible cameo (because that’s all they’re talking about) and it’s gonna be like wandavision with Mephisto again.

it’s cool to try and predict things and of course people want their faves to appear in more projects but when it gets to this point, the disappointment if it DOESN’T happen will be immense.

Wandavision was flawed because of certain things, but a lot of the criticism after the final episode was mostly people butthurt that no great cameos took place just because random online sources suggested they might. Like…if you were disappointed by THAT, that’s kind of your own fault.

it’s also ironic because people hated on aos and were disappointed by it because the avengers weren’t appearing in it at all. The cast even commented on that. Hopefully people learn

HOWEVER, the resurgence of the aos fandom and seeing more people willing to give the show a try and seeing a lot of excitement has been fun!! I truly hope it stays that way!! Whether she shows up or not!

A bit more info on Batman and Robin (2023) by Joshua Williamson.

When first reading the newsletter I was a bit sceptic since Tomasi's approach to them in Batman and Robin (2011) was the opposite. Damian was Bruce's son, but they weren't partners.

But considering that the last few years completely ruined their developement from Batman and Robin (2011) I do understand why re-establishing their relationship as father and son is necessary.

after years is it finally time to get my hopes up??? I visited my old school the other day and the painting I did of Damian is still there on display after all these years I miss him also obsessed with Damian's hair here actually I really love this art (but the fact that he and bruce are the same skin colour ruins it) hopefully the colouring is better in the actual book dc dc comics robin damian wayne

Like...I keep seing people defending Tom King's Batman run by saying stuff like "He didn't mean for Ric to happen, he wanted Dick to be healed with magic right away" or "Alfred's death was just supposed to be a fear gas hallucination in Damian's mind" and...this still wouldn't make King's run good?

King's Batman run was full of cheap shock value. DC actually trying to make Dick getting shot or Alfred getting killed matter and last (against King's plans) wasn't a mistake in my opinion. It was the execution that mostly sucked, but trying to give it some weight wasn't wrong.

Plus, every writer of the main Batman book has had to deal with editors. It's DC's flagship title. Of course they care a lot about what is going on in there😅

People trying to blame all of King's bad writing choices on editorial are weird. Other books also had DC's editors keeping watch on them and they weren't that bad.

as someone who waited and read each issue every 2 weeks when they came out, I can confirm. His writing is sh!t.

I see lots of "let people enjoy things" in fandom but no "it's not the end of the world if people don't like this thing you like, chill out" which is a shame I think fandom could benefit a lot more from the latter than the former
